A friend asked me why I used those clips of singers in such an informal recording format, namely recorded with a mobile phone…?
My answer is that on this video, my homage to Paco I desired to present besides the elaborate 3 guitars arrangement interwoven on such far away from each other keys
(f# m, Bbm and Am) and the demanding complexity of invoking as well his main falsetas from the bulerias “Rio de La Miel” of his album Luzia (his top most album in my opinion https://goo.gl/TVhSwm)
I also wanted to show from many angles what modern flamenco really is about, along with its modernization, and with the so many elements which Paco introduced through his life and his musical research including the fundamentals of what he changed forever on this style, therefore I worked unequivocally with those singers clips fully convinced of their value, and of their exalted emotive spirit as well as the mastery they all have at singing, so hence they were recorded with heart and with an unrepeatable inspiration and because the very essence of flamenco is spontaneity, I realized this elaborated work using this elements.
